New Adult Program Progression Begins Sept 7th

Phase I: Sept 7-Oct 31 (8 Weeks) – Phase II: Nov 1 – Dec 24th (8 Weeks)

The past 18 months has affected everyone’s mental and physical health, wellness and performance. We are thrilled to finally get everyone back inside to help them get better. NOW is the perfect time to get moving again to finish 2021 STRONG(er) than ever with our Move365 Fall Adult Programs and Coaching.

Think INSIDE the Box!

Our adult small group programs & Virtual training having been humming along well throughout the pandemic but everyone is desperate to get back inside for some social together-ing, while we continue to maintain our physical distancing.

All of our Adult small group programs place an emphasis on coaching movement, strength, overall fitness & athleticism based on age, experience, and athletic goals. We strive to help each person learn, and excel in a fun, challenging small group environment.

It turns out we were built for the pandemic BEFORE the pandemic with a small group coaching focus and training stations already set up to keep people in their own space over 11 feet away.

When it comes to programming, we are thinking INSIDE the box, in order to maximize your ability to move better, get stronger and CRUSH your fitness goals to finish off 2021.

During Phase 3 we will continue to offer our current Virtual On-Demand programs and expand our in-person training options and schedule to get everyone back inside.

All in-person sessions will take place inside our Move365 training centre. Everyone will still need to check in for attendance and Covid screening. Masks are mandatory inside the building but you can take them off for exercise once you are in your training station.

FYI! The downstairs changerooms, washrooms and showers ARE OPEN in Stage 3!

Adult Class Descriptions

FORCE is the STRENGTH (or POWER) imparted on an object. The ability to produce force and the ability to absorb it is paramount to health, fitness and performance. The FORCE class is for people who like to LIFT stuff. FORCE will focus on progressive programming that will re-set foundations, develop strength, and increase explosive power. Lifting is moving and we will coach you through the proper progression and mechanics to develop efficient motor patterns, maximize your range of motion, ensure you perform your lifts safely, and maximize your ability to move better and move stronger, every day.

FUNCTION Functional strength & fitness is not about complicated movements & circus tricks, it is about finding ways to move better, get stronger and improve your health and fitness to the level you need in your daily life. It is squatting and lunging and pushing and pulling. It is running and jumping and changing direction. It is challenging, purposeful and fun! Coaches will lead you through all aspects of FUNCTIONAL strength & conditioning including mobility, stability & balance, multi-directional athletic movement, whole-body strength, core conditioning, aerobic/anaerobic energy system development. It is designed to improve your overall health & fitness, help you meet your athletic goals and create a body that functions effectively for the daily demands of your life.

FUSION occurs when atoms are fused together to produce the release of nuclear energy. Our FUSION class uses a blend of whole-body functional strength, muscular endurance, athletic movement, and core conditioning in a HIIT style progression that is fused together to help maximize YOUR energy, your work capacity and your overall endurance. , mobility, stability, and core conditioning. FUSION is designed to off-load from our FORCe and FUNCTION classes, improve your overall health & fitness, help you meet your athletic goals and create a body that functions effectively for the daily demands of your life.

Still not ready to come outside and play? Let our coaches come to you with at home Virtual On-Demand workouts or our customized Move365 Online Training APP so you can workout with us, whenever you want!

We recognize that not everyone is ready to come back. People are working on completely different schedules, and many have set up pretty sweet home gyms over the last 18 months. This also means many prefer to continue some/all of their workouts at home for the foreseeable future. We have been evolving and growing in this new frontier, and are excited to have at home, virtual training options available with On-Demand Virtual program options (recorded from live classes), including access to all previous virtual classes.

With the hockey season, and every sport season, wiped out in 2020, we are excited to finally be able to focus on re-starting the off-season preparation for 2021.
The pandemic has affected everyone’s mental and physical health, and taken away the opportunity to perform at any level of sport. This summer is NOT a just a chance to return to normal, it is an opportunity to prepare for the challenges of a new season, to prove to yourself that you can meet those challenges, and to prove to everyone that you can exceed them.
It is a chance, not just to play again, but to Play Better!

Customize Your Off-Season

Everyone has different goals, personal needs and unique schedules throughout the summer. Let’s work together to come up with a plan that fits YOUR needs. Our goal is to focus as much as possible on individual needs, even within a small group training environment. This means customizing specific training paremetres, adjusting for specific injury issues, or coming up with a schedule that adjusts around other camps and pre-season programs, vacation time or, most importantly specific individual development needs.

Hockey Strength & Conditioning and On-Ice Development

Usually, the summer offers the perfect combination of time and opportunity to prepare players for the season. This year, our off-season is a little shorter than usual so the temptation will be to train too much, too hard, too soon.

It is more important than ever to plan carefully, prepare properly, and follow a purposeful, progressive program coached by experienced team of strength & conditioning and hockey specialists.

Our goal is to ensure every athlete gets to the season healthy, ready to perform at a high level and stays that way throughout this unique season.

The Move365 Hockey Performance Program is much more than just strength training, it is a fully coached, progressive program designed to help each player improve all aspects of hockey performance.

We are excited to welcome back Coach Steve Giovannini to the Move365 team just in time to help the re-launch the Hockey Performance program on and off the ice for 2021. Steve has a passion for hockey that is un-precedented and his experience coaching on the ice and in the weight room will be a huge asset to every athlete training with us this summer.  

Summer Move365 Hockey Performance Programs will focus on developing and enhancing:

  • Stability/mobility (hips, shoulders and core focus)
  • Athletic Development (speed, agility, reactivity, change of direction….) 
  • Athletic Strength & Explosive Power   
  • On-ice hockey skill, speed and skating performance  
  • Shift specific energy system development (skill execution under fatigue)

Pro/College/Junior Elite

Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 8-9:15 – ongoing

Bantam/Midget Elite

Strength & Conditioning Schedule – M/W/F evenings 4-5:15 or 5:30-6:45 and/or Saturday 10:30-11:45am

Hockey Performance On-Ice Development

2x per week x 75 mins on-ice development sessions

Move365 On-Ice Hockey Performance sessions are not hockey practice, they are hockey development. Sessions will be held at Oshawa Tribute Centre.

We are excited to get rolling with our on-ice development sessions and protocols starting Friday July 23rd.

The majority of on-ice sessions will be at the Oshawa Tribute Centre on the MAIN BOWL (unless otherwise communicated).Most sessions will take place Monday and Friday with a few exceptions to be clarified as the summer progresses.

Bantam/Midget group 11:45-1 *Aug 20 9:30-10:45

OHL/College/Pro group 1-2:15pm  *Aug 20 10:45-12

The arenas have strict Covid protocols and regulations that must be followed as well as their own Covid screening process that must be followed for each session. The full protocol list is attached here in addition to the following summary:

Parking for Tribute will be at the back of the building in the main lot but you must enter the building from Gate 1 at the front where the check-in is set up. From there you will head to our designated “Change Zone” to out on skates. Bags etc can be left under the chair here. Water bottles are permitted on the benches. No other outside food or beverages in the building please.

The Tribute Screening procedure is a self-screening questionnaire

  • This can be done up to two hours prior to arriving or on site by scanning a QR code.
  • The link is found on their website through the Together Again pop up which you can access here – https://www.tributecommunitiescentre.com/togetheragain (this link will be available 2 hours before the ice time)
  • PLEASE fill out individually, every time you come. If guardian present. Guardian can fill if you are under 18 player.
  • You must show the green checkmark/timestamp to enter. If you receive a red x, please speak to security.
  • Please arrive 20 mins before ice time in order to check-in with screening, to make your way to the appropriate rink and get your skates on and ready to go.
  • Dressing rooms and showers are CLOSED at this time so players are to arrive and leave the arena “half dressed” This means all gear with the exception of skates are on when entering the building. There are washrooms available if required.
  • Everyone must leave the building immediately following the session
  • On-ice drills/play is NOT limited
  • Guardian rule is now a one for one spectator rule. Please keep additional family members at home. One spectator can watch per player.
  • Masks are to be worn in the building at all times and everyone must maintain a distance of 2 metres apart, except when on the ice  
  • Please note there is a no in and out of the building policy at this time

Elite Performance Group (OHL/College/Pro) – 1-2:15pm

Bantam-Midget Elite Group 11:45am-1pm

Confirmed Dates: July (hoping to start July 19th but waiting for confirmation from the rink), 23, 26, 30 – Aug 6, 9, 13, 16, 20. We are also expecting to add a few more days in Aug and as things open up.

All Hockey Performance sessions are coached in small groups, with attention to individual needs. Each person has their own dedicated space to move, lift and learn and we follow all recommended COVID protocols.

Weekly Rates *

HKY Strength & Conditioning Fees (4x per week) = $120/week + HST

On-Ice Development Fees (2x per week) = $45/session + HST

Customize Your Off-Season – Weekly rates will be adjusted for 3+ weeks.

We are Back Inside the Box!

Covid has affected everyone’s mental and physical health, wellness and performance. Now that we are in Step 3 of re-opening in Ontario we are thrilled (and relieved) able to finally bring our athletes and groups back inside and begin to look forward to a more normal summer and fall of activities and sports.

Without inside training opportunities it has been difficult to keep the kids and youth athletes on a specific, progressive training schedule. Most parents, athletes and families are keen to bring back some social together-ing while we maintain our physical distancing.

All of our Youth and Athlete small group programs place an emphasis on teaching and coaching the development of movement skills (agility, speed, explosive first step…) strength, overall fitness & athleticism based on age, experience, and athletic goals. We strive to help each person learn, understand and excel in every session in a fun, challenging small group environment.

Sessions are coached in small groups, with attention to individual needs. Each person has their own dedicated space to move, lift and learn as we aspire to inspire everyone to a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness and help them move better and perform better in their sport and/or in their daily life along the way.

In Step 3 sessions will take place back inside our training centre, with lots of room for movement and maintaining physical distance as required. Everyone will still need to check in at the front desk for attendance and Covid screening. Masks are mandatory inside the building until you are set up in your training station.

Bringin’ the Inside Out

FUNDAMENTAL ATHLETIC DEVEOPMENT – ages 9-11

Kids are not just little adults, the need to learn to move properly and have some fun along the way. This is the beginning of athletic development. The FUNDAMENTAL Program focuses on developing overall athleticism, body awareness, the important elements of physical literacy, fitness & performance. We will put the FUN in Fundamental! Kids will learn how to stop & land, change direction efficiently, and build a foundation of coordination and movement efficiency through games, drills and progressions designed to build specific movement skills, help them move better, react quicker, be faster and have fun!

ESSENTIAL ATHLETIC DEVEOPMENT – ages 12-14

The ESSENTIAL Athletic Development Program is the perfect opportunity for young teens to learn to train properly in order to develop all aspects of fitness, athleticism, strength, & athletic performance. The program will challenge movement skill development, and teach the key components of strength (squat, lunge, hinge, push, pull etc). EAD is also a perfect progression program to bridge the gap between the Fundamental age and the Advanced Athlete Development Program.

ADAVANCED ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT – ages 14+

Athletes need to continuously work to build the qualities that will help them excel in sport & maximize their training knowledge & training capacity at this crucial development age. Anyone who just wants to learn to move better, get stronger, and improve their health and fitness can also benefit in this program. The ADVANCED program is designed for athletes aged 14+ who are ready to expand their development, to build more athletic strength, explosive power, athletic movement skills, linear & multi directional speed, & more. This 75min program is designed to help each athlete elevate their training and their performance to the next level

Congratulations Durham Region, we made it. Phase 3 is here!

Now, that being said, let’s not get overly excited. There is still work to do to keep this virus at bay but in the meantime, we have the green light to get our programs rolling for everyone and help all of our Move365 community get back to focusing on their health, fitness and performance.

As with the rest of the world, everything is different. This includes how we are doing things here at Move365. Rather than running our regular programs we are going to ease into everything carefully, for the sake of our team and for each of you. Introducing the Move365 Don’t Call it a Comeback, Camps for adults and youth.

6 Week Camp Program Aug 4-Sept 13

Please see below for full details on our Adult & Youth Don’t Call it a Comeback, Camps! But before we outline the details, here are a few updates on what to expect at move365 when you come back.

Move365 is Not a Gym

We don’t expect everyone to be back to full go right away so you can expect the coaches will be easing everyone back in to their programs based on where they/you need to be.

Clean up on aisle 6!

In accordance with regulations and with what we feel offers the best standards for health and safety, your experience at Move365 will include the following changes:

  • Enter through the front door at 104 Byron Street
  • Sanitize hands
  • Face coverings must be worn in the entrance and common areas (but not in training centre once you can ensure physical distance)
  • Check in at the front desk includes health screening & temperature check each day
  • One way traffic flow through main hall to training area
  • The downstairs area, washrooms and showers will be OPEN for Phase 3 however only one way traffic on the stairs and maintain physical distance in dressing room area
  • Maximum Small Group sizes of 8
  • Make you way to your station/rack of choice and wait for coach instructions
  • Manage all equipment you need and keep at your station until end of session
  • Move. Lift. Learn. Get better!
  • Clean all equipment used
  • Celebrate with virtual High 5s
  • Exit through side door only
Training Station space is 11+ feet between each person

Don’t Call it a COMEBACK, CAMP!

We have had great success with our athlete groups over the past few weeks and are hoping to hit the ground running for all of our adult and youth groups as everyone feels ready to get rolling. We will be offering a modified schedule of our usual classes for adults and youth as well as new Virtual Live classes for those who are not ready to head inside.

Virtual Move365

Throughout the shutdown Coach Michelle kept everyone moving with free, live Instagram workouts and we tried to keep everyone informed and active through our social media platforms as well a our Move365 Online Training App. As we evolve into this new frontier, we recognize that not everyone is ready to come back to inside. People are working on completely different schedules, they do not have child care available, and many have set up pretty sweet home gyms over the last 6 months. This also means many prefer to continue some/all of their workouts at home for the foreseeable future.

With this in mind we will have a menu of Virtual Coaching and Training Options including Virtual Live Classes (starting with 3x per week), On-demand Virtual Classes (recorded from the live classes), including access to all previous virtual classes, and ongoing training options from our Move365 Online app.

The Virtual Live Classes Schedule will begin the week of Aug 3 as part of our 6 week Comeback Camp!
